They say you are only as good as your last performance.

If that’s the case, we are in good shape, because the cast of The Hollow pulled out all the stops last week to turn out a series of great performances.

It was all the more rewarding because some cast members had relatively little experience, and it was brilliant to see them acting out of their skins.

It was a test for all of us, especially working on what could easily be seen as a rather tired old play. But directing The Hollow was good experience, not least as a reminder of the importance of teamwork, trust, good humour, and willingness to listen.

All of which will stand us in good stead as we rehearse for something completely different - a brand new play, The Truth Untold, by an unknown writer (erm, that’s me, by the way!).

If we can live up to the standards of teamwork and mutual support set by the cast and crew of The Hollow, we will be fine!
