After seeing The Souvenir at Quay Arts, I definitely feel five stars is a must. A most impressive slice of theatre, and music, culture, and history too.

God help us, everyone!

Dickens’s best loved story will never be the same again after this fast and frequently farcical new rendition featuring all the characters we know and love – and a lot of others who really shouldn’t be there. Fortunately, Mr Dickens will be on hand to try to restore order. Possibly. But this is the panto season, so anything could happen …

Don’t miss this Christmas favourite retold at the Quay Arts theatre in Newport, Isle of Wight, with love and laughter. And you get to sing carols, too ... Bring the family - it’s the perfect way to get in the mood!

Even better, you can combine your ticket with a fabulous festive meal in the Quay Arts restaurant, with a Christmas menu served from 6pm. If you would like food, please phone to book a table (essential!) on 01983 822490.

Thursday 7th & Friday 8th December / Show start 7.30pm  / tickets £8

New season announcement

We'll be unveiling our programme for 2018 very soon.
Highlights will include two news plays by Heaton Wilson: The Souvenir, previewed to great audience reaction in September, and now to be developed into a stage play; and Fresh Start - an emotional drama with many twists and turns, that carries messages for all of us.

Congratulations to a star of the future

Nine year old Anna Thomas won a radio play writing competition we organised in partnership with Vectis Radio, the community station for the Isle of Wight. We broadcast Anna's play - Terror Island - on Vectis Radio in July. Anna not only wrote the play, she also played the leading role, along with her talented friend Greta Dooley.
