We're excited to be staging our acclaimed production of the Charles Dickens ghost story, The Signalman, in the historic and atmospheric Bonchurch Old Church - which is next door to Winterbourne, where Dickens stayed in 1849.
We hope you can join us for this one off performance - at 7pm on Thursday, August 10.
It's the only chance to see The Signalman on the Isle of Wight this year, and the only opportunity to savour its unique atmosphere inside a church that Dickens himself visited.
We want the audience to feel an integral part of the atmosphere, and we are encouraging ticket holders to dress in Victorian garb for the evening. As an extra incentive, we will be awarding a prize to the Best Dressed Victorian, as judged by the cast!
A few tickets were still available at the time we updated our website, so please book soon.
You can book here, or call 01983 716767, or pop into the box office at Ventnor Exchange, 11 Church Street, Ventnor PO38 1SW
A bright new star!
Congratulations to a star of the future.
Nine year old Anna Thomas (pictured left) won a radio play writing competition we organised in partnership with Vectis Radio, the community station for the Isle of Wight.
And we are excited to confirm that we broadcast Anna's play - Terror Island - on Vectis Radio studios in July. Anna not only wrote the play, she also played the leading role, along with her talented friend Greta Dooley (right).
The play was produced by Kelvin Currie, a director of Vectis Radio, who also produced our first radio play, The Telescope.

A complete farce!
Audiences at Shanklin Theatre loved our production of 39 Steps, based on the Hitchcock film of the same name, in August last year. A few examples of the feedback we received: 'Better than the London West End' .... 'Absolutely brilliant' .... 'Enjoyed it tremendously' ... 'Highest quality production'
And the good news is ... we're back again this August, this time with the fast and funny Ray Cooney farce, Funny Money. It opens on Saturday, August 12, then runs from Monday to Wednesday, August 14 to 16.
