Recent audience feedback for Origins Theatre ... ‘Souvenir - five stars is a must. A most impressive slice of theatre, and music, culture, and history too’... ‘Wow! Fresh Start - What a powerful play on the subject of domestic abuse. A must see play that gripped me right to the end. Excellent acting too’

Fresh Start has been performed to amazing reviews on the mainland and on the Isle of Wight. Read a review here And our ground breaking production of I.D at Quay Arts and Aspire Ryde ... Reviewed here.

‘MERRY CHRISTMAS, BOB! A MERRIER CHRISTMAS THAN I HAVE GIVEN YOU FOR MANY A YEAR…’ Mr Scrooge…. Erm, excuse us, sorry, but we have no idea what has this image got to do with Scrooge; we just liked it … Though thinking about it, the guy on the right does look a bit like Scrooge.

A SORT OF CHRISTMAS CAROL!

7 TILL 9PM, DECEMBER 6, 7 AND 8

QUAY ARTS, NEWPORT, ISLE OF WIGHT … NOW BOOKING!

Last year, we were mighty proud of the audience feedback for our version of 'A Christmas Carol'. 'A Kind of Christmas Carol' played to full house audiences at Quay Arts on the Isle of Wight (think of it as a Wight Christmas), and some described it as either 'completely bonkers' or 'extremely silly'... right both times!

Now we are gearing up for the new improved, totally transformed (by which we mean, even sillier) 2018 version, which we have cunningly renamed 'A Sort of Christmas Carol'.

It's different and even dafter than a Morecambe and Wise sketch.  It's so good, even Charles Dickens has decided he wants to be in it again. But he gets carried away and it all gets completely out of hand. He really should know better at his age. (Come to think of it, so should we, really …)

Book now if you want a night of song, fun, dancing, laughter, bell ringing and chain rattling - not necessarily in that order - as we reinvent (or should that be ruin?) the best loved Christmas story in history. Is it a panto? Is it a play? Is it a cheesy Christmas musical? YES to all the above!

So grab tickets as soon as you can! Book online at quayarts.org, phone them on 01983 822490, or pop into the shop at Quay Arts, Newport, Isle of Wight. And remember - every ticket sold helps support Quay Arts, AND £1 from each ticket will be donated to the Isle of Wight Foodbank; something we think Mr Dickens would approve of.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY, PEACEFUL 2019 - LET’S FACE IT, WE ALL DESERVE IT!

AND A BIG THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND POSITIVE FEEDBACK IN 2018.
