Turning the Tables

Six 15 minute plays, linked together through movement and music to create an evening of twists and turns, and intrigue ...

The plays were winners or highly commended entries in our From Page to Stage playwriting competition, which attracted entries from all over the UK and Ireland. The theme was 'turning the tables' and the six plays chosen by the judges kept a sell out audience glued to the action when they were premiered at the Bargeman's Rest in Newport, Isle of Wight, on Saturday, March 21.

The plays were: Gunpoint, by Will Perkins; Sway, by Eamonn Dolan; Home Truths, by Emma Brown; A Valued Employee, by Sarah Pitard; Venus Retrograde, by Jonathan Skinner; and Brush Strokes, by Edwin Preece.

The cast included: Paul Gwinnett, Robbie Gwinnett, Reuben Loake, Eleanor Jane Spicer, Emilly Scott-Denness, Maureen Sullivan, Amelia Havard, Kevin Wilson, Fiona Gwinnett, Suzie Chilton, Marie Hickman and Michael Mullen.

The plays were directed by Eltjo de Vries.
